The biggest new tractor usually leads off this lineup, featuring new tractors, trucks, trailers, grain carts, and tractor and truck accessories. This time, with all the emphasis on electric vehicles, Ford’s Lightning electric pickup is turning heads. It’s an F-150 that marks Ford’s introduction into electric vehicles on the truck side of things.

Meanwhile, the blue Solectric tractor parked outside one of the entrances to the VIT tent at the Farm Progress Show was attracting attention as well. It’s a lightweight utility tractor, and even literature describing it notes that it should appeal to hobby farmers. Yet it’s equipped with a sturdy hydraulic loader and was garnering attention from many farmers passing by the exhibit.

Among conventional tractors, Versatile introduced a new tractor to extend the upper horsepower end of one series. Claas introduced the 930TT and 960TT models, each with fully suspended half-tracks.

JCB added another “fast” tractor to its lineup, and Fendt officially introduced the seventh-generation Fendt Vario 700 tractor with state-of-the-art cab. John Deere introduced the 5M line with upgrades of various features for 2023, and also introduced 5075E series tractors.

New trailers also are hitting the market, including an updated semi-grain trailer from Timpte. To round out this lineup, check out the new grain carts from Kinze, Demco and Brandt.
