Deere dealership signs are going to be changing in western New York and northwest Pennsylvania. Lakeland Equipment and Z&M Ag and Turf have inked a partnership deal with Argonne Capital Group to merge into a new company called LandPro Equipment LLC. With 12 dealership locations, LandPro will be the Northeast’s largest Deere turf and ag equipment dealer, according to Argonne Capital, an Atlanta-based private investment firm.

Headquartered at Falconer, N.Y., the combined company brings together dealerships at Alexander, Avon, Brockport, Clymer, Edinboro (Pa.), Falconer, Hall, Macedon, North Chili, Savannah and Springville, N.Y. The network gives LandPro more effective buying power with John Deere and its vendors, points out Tracy Buck, LandPro’s newly appointed president. “We’re excited about this new partnership and the possibilities it offers our customers and our employees.”

Better deals and service
Argonne Capital expects the combination, coupled with its financial support, “to provide unmatched sales and service to its customers,” says Layton Grisette, principal at the private equity firm. That leverage also allows for a larger inventory of new and used equipment parts available on hand plus more competitive pricing for customers in 26 counties of New York and Pennsylvania, adds LandPro Vice President Ryan Payment. The company will continue to serve the same commercial, construction, farming and homeowner customers.

“Infusion of capital from Argonne will allow LandPro Equipment to create a dynamic, people-driven organization that’ll have a positive impact on our customers, employees and investors,” affirms Marty Phillippe, Lakeland Equipment’s founder. “This merger will further enhance that experience.”
