John Deere now offers its newest T Series combine — the T6 800  — which features the latest precision ag technology, a faster unloading rate, improved efficiency and a larger, quieter cab.

“The T6 800 combine provides farmers a significant step forward in harvesting technology,” says Bergen Nelson, John Deere’s go-to-market manager for harvesters. “With these combines, farmers will have the tools they need to enhance productivity and efficiency in the field.”

The feeder house, which has been engineered to the same width as the rest of the crop channel, eliminates flow restrictions throughout the machine. Together with a larger threshing and separation area, it performs better than previous models. The T6 800 walker combine’s grain tank is nearly a quarter larger, and it unloads 20% faster, making it about 6% more efficient, according to a specs sheet about the new combine.

The unloading speed at peak performance reaches up to 150 liters per second, or 10 tons of grain in 90 seconds. An adjustable spout gives operators more control over unloading into grain carts and trailers. HillMaster leveling technology with a compensation of up to a 22% incline allows harvesting on steep slopes. Also under the hood, you’ll find:

  • StarFire 7500 integrated receiver

  • JDLink modem

  • G5 CommandCenter 12.8-inch display

  • precision systems like AutoPath, Machine Sync and Grain Sensing

Available options include ground speed automation, which continuously evaluates inputs and helps maintain a consistent feed rate by adjusting the combine’s ground speed based on variables such as grain loss, engine power and rotor pressure.

Automated terrain settings can provide stable cleaning shoe performance in varying terrain by adjusting the machine’s cleaning fan speed, and chaffer and sieve openings based on pitch. This helps reduce losses and increases machine performance in hilly terrain when driving up and downhill.

Inside the cab, engineers have increased the amount of storage space and added cupholders. More glass increases visibility, and a more comfortable seat makes 12-hour days a little easier.

“The technology added to this combine gives the farmer the power to execute, monitor and analyze every stage of their harvesting operation,” Nelson says. “The technology solutions pave the way for the new automation features and functionality.”
