As weeds have become more resilient, growers have moved to applying higher gallons per acre to increase coverage and more effectively control weeds, especially in soybeans. Higher application rates present challenges in being efficient and covering acres when weeds are still small and able to be effectively killed.
As a result, Fast Ag Solutions has recently released a 3,200 Gallon Sprayer with 120’ or 132’ booms, the first release into its’ S-Series line of sprayers. The 3,200 gallon sprayer features an all-new tank design and is compatible with 15” or 18” CAMSO tracks for row crop spraying along with 580 or 710 high flotation single tire options for pre-emerge or small grains.

“We have seen significant interest in recent years in our 2,400 gallon track sprayers with the efficiency and flotation benefits that are offered” says Cody Fast, President of Fast Ag Solutions. “The 3,200 gallon tank gives the ability to spray a square quarter (160 acres) at 20 gallons per acre without needing to fill in the field to cover more acres per day, reduce tractor idle time, and reduce crop damage.”
When paired with CAMSO tracks, the ground pressure with a fully loaded tank is still low at 16 psi (18” tracks) or 19.5 psi (15” tracks) compared to single tires, dual tires, or self-propelled options. For comparison, a common 1,200 gallon self-propelled with 380/105 tires is 39 psi ground pressure. Fast’s 3,200 gallon trailer design from hitch pin to axle is only 1’8” longer (16’8” total) than its’ current 2,400 gallon design to continue to provide a sprayer that is easy to maneuver in the field and minimizes crop damage.

The 3,200 gallon tank design is narrower than the 2,400 gallon design to increase visibility and has structure on the sides to minimize movement of product in the tank. The entire tank design has a minimum 5 degrees slope throughout with a deep sump that holds 70 gallons to ensure excellent cleanout of the tank.
The boom design for the 3,200 gallon sprayer utilizes Fast’s proven 9500T - 120’/132’ sprayers which now have AutoFold, Fast’s exclusive Hydraulic AutoYaw Boom Cushioning, and Raven XRT AutoBoom Height Control standard. Additional features such as Capstan PWM pulsing nozzles (pressure control, tip-to-tip section control, and turn compensation), boom recirculation, and Steerable Hitch to provide turn and hillside compensation are also available as excellent options on nearly all Fast Sprayers. All sprayers are fully ISObus compatible and seamlessly integrate with the grower’s in-cab tractor display.
“This 3,200 gallon sprayer provides a row crop pull-type sprayer that is unmatched in the industry and also continues to widen the gap in capacity between other pull-type and all self-propelled options”, states Cody Fast. “As application rates of 15-20 gallons per acre have become very common to ensure adequate coverage and weed control, growers have seen the benefits of our high capacity sprayers and we are excited to take it to the next level with this 3,200 gallon sprayer. We have made a focus in recent years on the adoption of new technology to our sprayers. The new technology, tracks, and high capacity tank make an excellent overall package.”
