Farmtrac has upgraded its compact tractor line with the new 3100, including models from 28- to 41 engine horsepower, all equipped with Mitsubishi four-cylinder diesel engines.

The 3100 Series was unveiled recently at the Sunbelt Ag Expo to add new power and convenience to Farmtrac's compact tractor lineup.

The new line includes the 3130, with 28 engine horsepower; the 3140 with 38.5 hp.; and the 3145, rated at 41 hp. Respective hp. ratings at the power take-off are 23, 31, and 36. The shuttle-shift-equipped models are badged DT, while the hydrostatic models carry the DTH model designation. All are 4WD machines.

Farmtrac has upgraded its line in the 28-40 horsepower line with the new six-tractor 3100 Series. The

3130, 3140 (shown) and the 3145 each come in shuttle drive or hydrostatic drive.

The 3130 comes with a 91.5 cubic inch version of the series' indirect-injection, liquid cooled engine, and is backed with either the 12-speed (forward and reverse) shuttle shift, or the three-range hydrostatic transmission. Both models have independent or manual 540 rpm PTO. The hydraulic system on the 3130 includes 8.1 gallons per minute for implements and features a lift capacity of 2619 lbs. at the hitch points on the Category I three-point hitch. Two double-acting auxiliary valves with double outlets come standard. Other standard features include a folding rollbar, a telescoping drawbar, tilt steering, a rear work light, turn signals, adjustable stabilizers and a rear differential lock. Prices are pegged at $16,234 for the shuttle drive, and $17,533 for the hydrostat.

The 3140 gets its go from a 107.3 cid engine and shifts either with a 12FX12R shuttle or the three-range hydrostat. Like the 3130, it has an independent or manual 540 rpm PTO and the same hydraulics and lift capacity. Prices on the 3140 are $18,052 for the shuttle drive, and $19,351 for the hydrostat.

The 3145 sports a 141 cid engine and either the hydrostat transmission or a 16FX16R synchronized shuttle shift. Independent or manual 540 rpm PTO power is also available on the 3145, along with similar hydraulics as the other, smaller models. The 3145, however, is rated at 2,755 lbs. lift capacity at the hitch points.

The list price for the shuttle shift 3145 is $19,221. The hydrostatic model was not yet priced.
