A trip to the annual Irrigation Show is a glimpse into what’s next in an industry striving to improve water use. The most recent show in December, held in Las Vegas, was a little heavier on new tools for drip irrigation, which isn’t a surprise since there’s a lot of attention to managing resources.
2022’s event had a New Product competition, allowing companies to put forward their latest tools. Judges ranked each tool, and chose a gold, silver and bronze honoree.
Also at the show was an Innovation Pitch Competition, where new ideas were on display. The slideshow starts the gold, silver and bronze winners, followed by the Pitch Competition winner. But check out the entire slideshow to find a range of innovations.
With greater attention to water management in the face of lingering drought, companies are bringing forward new monitoring technologies and other tools for farmers to use. This roundup highlights some of the new ideas being offered to the industry.
