It’s not just the vehicles pulling grain carts that are becoming more sophisticated. The grain carts themselves and the technology that facilitates grain transportation, from tarps to trailers, is likewise advancing.

Staff fanned out at this year’s Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days to find the latest grain carts and transportation technology. A few notable new products include Shur-Co’s electric tarp system called ShurLink and Unverferth Manufacturing Co.’s Parker 2054 grain cart, which can unload 1,000 bushels per minute.
