Arnie Jennerman will begin his duties as general manager prior to the 2020 show.

2020 SHOW: The 2020 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will be hosted by Eau Claire County at Silver Spring Farms, July 21-23.

The board of directors of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days Inc. announced that Arnie Jennerman has been hired as the new show general manager. Jennerman will begin his duties prior to the 2020 show, which will be hosted by Eau Claire County at Silver Spring Farms, July 21-23.

A Wisconsin native and Verona resident, Jennerman has been employed outside of agriculture for most of his career. Most recently, he served as interim executive director of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Student Health Services with 200 employees. Prior to that, Jennerman worked in a number of technology-related management positions at UW-Madison. Before working at UW-Madison, he spent more than 25 years in the private sector working in manufacturing, distribution, health care and accounting, where he served clients in the milk, cheese and feed manufacturing industries. His background is in management and finance, with an MBA in marketing from UW-Madison.

Jennerman’s roots in agriculture run deep. Growing up on a Wisconsin dairy farm, he has fond memories of attending many then-called “Farm Progress Days” shows with his family. In recent years, he volunteered at the Dane County Wisconsin Farm Technology Days held at the Statz Farm. He has also served as a volunteer at World Dairy Expo. He currently owns farmland that is rented out to neighboring farmers.

As general manager of Wisconsin’s largest outdoor farm show, Jennerman says he is looking forward to applying his planning, leadership, financial and management skills to serving the agriculture industry of Wisconsin. He will be working with current General Manager Matt Glewen over a two-year transition period.
