The Virginia Agricultural Expo, the largest agricultural field day in the Commonwealth of Virginia is set for Thursday, Aug. 4 at Mill Creek Farms in Port Royal, Va.

This year’s theme is “Precision for Profits.” Mill Creek farms is located at 8123 Camden Road, Port Royal, Va. 22535. The expo is sponsored by Virginia Grain Producers and Virginia Soybean Association in cooperation with the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service.

The Virginia Ag Expo takes place on the first Thursday in August annually and is held on a working farm, moving from one location to another to showcase the diversity of the different areas of the state. As an educational, marketing, and social event,  farmers and agribusiness look forward to the expo e each year. There will be a wide variety of agribusinesses present showcasing the latest equipment, technology, goods, and services.

The National Research Conservation Service  will be hosting the Agronomy Education Area that will feature a soil pit, soil profiles with  three different Extension Specialists.

Breakfast and lunch will be available from regional food vendors and there will be a wide array of food items. This event is free to the public and gates open at 7:30 a.m.
