The SC AgriBiz & Farm Expo is set for Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16th at the Florence Center in Florence, SC.SC AgriBiz & Farm Expo

The team of SC AgriBiz & Farm Expo is excited to see you at the upcoming expo on Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16th at the Florence Center in Florence, SC.

This will be the 8th annual expo and promises to be full of informative and jam-packed educational sessions with opportunities to connect with over 100 exhibitors. Sun, rain, sleet or snow, the Expo will be buzzing with lots of activities. See you there.

The keynote speaker on Wednesday, Dr. Ron Prestage, DVM, is no stranger to agriculture. He promises to challenge your way of thinking about ag and brings hope and positive outlooks for the future of agriculture. You don’t want to miss his engaging presentation. Come at 8:30AM on Wednesday, January 15th for breakfast, compliments of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, and connect with other farmers and hear what Dr. Prestage will share.

The Wednesday schedule is packed with informative sessions addressing the following:  Carolina Hemp Conference, Forestry, Fruits, Veggies & Alternatives, Women in Ag and a Youth track. After the educational and exhibitor visiting time, it is time to slow down and enjoy some of the finest food to please your pallet. Then on Thursday morning, visit with the SC Department of Agriculture Commissioner, Hugh Weathers, at the Commissioner’s Breakfast. The breakfast starts at 8AM followed by the keynote speaker, Martin R. Barbre with the USDA, Risk Management Agency.

Martin Barbre, Administrator of USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) will be the featured speaker on Thursday, January 16th. He will present “Risk Management Agency Crop Insurance Update for 2020”. Administrator Barbre will also bring RMA staff with him for a special Q & A session on disaster relief, crop insurance for all row crops, hemp coverage updates and much more.

The Thursday schedule continues with more educational sessions and opportunities to visit exhibitors, fellow ag enthusiasts and learn more about what is happening in the industry. The same tracks presented on Wednesday will continued through Thursday, January 16th, with even more information and knowledge to share with you. Lots of over the top speakers and opportunities that don’t come very often in our state.
