For North Dakota producers, landowners, local leaders and industry stakeholders, attending the sixth annual North Dakota Livestock Summit is a no-brainer. Hosted by the North Dakota Livestock Alliance on Jan. 28, this free summit brings knowledge, discussion on livestock development and networking opportunities.
“We’re looking forward to hosting producers and industry members for another great summit in Fargo,” says Amber Wood, executive director of NDLA. “You can find anything you need to expand or start a new livestock facility at our full trade show, which includes construction companies, engineers and commodity organizations.”
NDLA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that was developed to provide assistance to farmers, ranchers and communities with the development or expansion of the livestock industry. They achieve this while strengthening connections with consumers to instill confidence in the practices that producers use, and in the food and products produced in North Dakota.
Their annual summit is just one way NDLA reaches farmers and communities sharing the benefits of livestock development.
“This summit is a great way to get information and resources to producers who are interested in diversifying their farms with livestock, whether that is expanding existing operations or diversifying crop operations,” Wood says.
North Dakota has experienced growth in its pork industry and is expecting increases of dairy and beef operations. NDLA looks forward to welcoming producers and industry representatives to the Holiday Inn Fargo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 28.
