During the Farm Science Review, visitors have experienced everything from torrential rains to blistering-hot, humid days. But this year’s event, Sept. 17-19, was blessed with 70-degree-F temperatures and sunny skies all three days, boosting attendance over recent years. FSR is held annually near London, Ohio.
This year’s delayed harvest also freed farmers’ time, resulting in 114,590 visitors. More than 600 companies attended the event, according to Nick Zachrich, FSR manager. About 20 of them participated in a first-time career fair, connecting job seekers with opportunities in the ag industry.
From agronomic tips and tax strategies to farm stress and solar leasing, FSR had more than 100 educational presentations, as well as field demonstrations for visitors to take in.
Next year’s Farm Science Review is Sept. 22-24.
Here’s a look a look at this year’s FSR.
