FP Next: Learn more about FPS and HHD

Episode 20: Matt Jungmann talks about what to expect at Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days, as well as logistics and another farm show in this deep dive episode.

1h 2m Listen

On this Deep Dive episode of FP Next, Curt and Sarah talk with Farm Progress national farm show manager, Matt Jungmann, about the upcoming Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa Aug. 27-29, and just two weeks later, Husker Harvest Days, Sept. 10-12 near Grand Island, Neb. These two shows are among the largest outdoor farm shows in the world, and it takes all year to plan for them.

What are the logistics in planning farm shows of this size? What is the history of the shows? Does anything ever go wrong? What can farmers expect to see at this year’s FPS and HHD? How about this new farm show we’ve been hearing about, the Organic Grower Summit in California?

FP Next will work to answer these questions and more, also talking with Jungmann, who farms in Illinois, about crop conditions and the harvest outlook in his neck of the woods.
