Walking a few miles to see exhibits can give a person an appetite, and show visitors are in luck with the range of choices available for 2018. You’ll have diverse choices depending on what you’re hankering for when it’s time to chow down.

One tip? Consider starting a little early to get your meal, which can help avoid the bigger lines at the show. And you will want to consider the “meal deal,” of a sandwich, chips and a drink for $12. The entrees are different in each food area, providing some variety to that meal deal.

As Matt Jungmann, Farm Progress national events director, notes, the show is working with local groups and organizations. This allows them to staff the sites, and support their organizations. These groups do make a profit from their show sales.

“It gives the show a better community feel, and inspires a little competition between them to see who can get the best food and what becomes the favorite over the course of the show,” he says.
