Spaces are marked, pavilions are built, and World Ag Expo is ready to be “Back in AgTion” Feb. 8-10 in Tulare, Calif. Tickets are on sale here.

Show officials note confidence in the event with 94% of spaces sold as of early January and domestic and international ticket sales trending at 2020 levels.

“We’re ready to host a live event for an essential industry,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center CEO. “We made the right call in 2021 to move to a digital show, but ag never stopped and it’s important to get back to safe gatherings for ag professionals. Driving innovations and solutions happen when we meet and learn from each other.”

More than 95 special events, seminars, and demonstrations are scheduled for the three-day show. The schedule of events is available here with highlights including livestock demonstrations in the new WW Livestock Systems Demonstration Pavilion, Prayer Breakfast, Ag Leadership breakfast, Toyota Tundra Giveaway drawing, and more.

The Toyota Tundra Giveaway is back in 2022 and the drawing will be held live in the Toyota Ride & Drive space next to Gate 2. Tickets are available now and all proceeds benefit Valley Children’s Healthcare and the Guilds Center for Community Health. See more information at https://www.worldagexpo.com/attendees/toyota-giveaway/.

Outdoor experiences have been in high demand with exhibitors to demonstrate new products and provide upgraded interactions with attendees. Ride & Drives will continue to be located at the East and West ends of the grounds with Fendt making its debut on the northeast side. Demo spaces have been added on the South side of the grounds for two electric tractor companies to show off their innovative vehicles.

Seminars will be hosted by Fresno State, Women in Ag for Mentoring and Empowerment, the FBI, and a variety of exhibitors. Tracks cover Dairy & Livestock, Demonstrations, Orchard & Vineyard Management, Professional Development, and more.

Among the show's highlights:

Glenda Humiston, University of California vice president for agriculture and natural resources, will join other women leaders in agriculture on Feb. 8 to describe their own journeys and discuss what they see in the future for women in agriculture. The panel is from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.

Other panelists include Jenny Moffitt, U.S. Department of Agriculture under secretary for marketing and regulatory programs; Karen Ross, California secretary of food and agriculture; Marit Arana, head of A.L. Gilbert Co. nutrition department; Roxanna Smith, Wells Fargo Bank senior relationship manager; and Shannon Douglass, CalAgJobs director of outreach.

UC Dairy Series

A series of dairy seminars will be offered by UC Agriculture and Natural Resources scientists at the World Ag Expo. Presentations will cover the latest research on almond hulls as dairy feed, water management, nutrient management, manure management and much more. See the schedule here.

Feb. 10 citrus tour (9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)

The citrus tour will visit two locations: University of California Lindcove Research & Extension Center and McKellar Family Farms.

Established in 1959, the UC Lindcove REC has more than 100 acres of citrus in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. At the center, researchers conduct studies on citrus varieties, horticultural techniques and pest management. The UC Lindcove REC portion of the tour will include a display and tasting of citrus varieties.

Lunch is provided at McKellar Family Farms, where visitors will tour the citrus orchards, view equipment and get a better understanding of the process from tree to table. By the end of the tour, visitors will have an understanding of how much care and forethought goes into producing top-quality fruit, in addition to the research conducted to improve growing conditions.

Tour tickets cost $45 and include choice of lunch. For more information, visit https://www.worldagexpo.com/attendees/agriculture-tours.
