A quality selection of machinery is on the block in an online auction that will conclude on the Farm Progress Show’s last day. You will get a rare opportunity to bid online on several pieces of equipment seen at the BigIron display during the 2023 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill.

“We decided to bring in several quality pieces from the auction closing on Aug. 31 and display them on our lot at the Farm Progress Show,” says Mark Stock of BigIron. “That will give farmers interested in this equipment a chance to inspect the items in person before they bid online, along with everybody else.”

All BigIron auctions have been online since 2009, Stock says. Sullivan Auctioneers, a well-known name in Illinois, is now part of BigIron as well.

“We have something special coming for the Farm Progress Show BigIron lot,” Stock says. “It’s a Claas combine coming from the factory with zero hours on the machine. This one is equipped with tracks, and it is part of this online auction.”

Stock notes that several pieces of machinery from farms in the central Illinois area will also be part of the auction.

“We may have a couple pieces from different sellers to let people see what the quality of their equipment line is like,” Stock adds. “We can’t bring every piece which is selling to the site. Some of items which will sell will be located at other places. We will make it clear where each piece is located.”

If you purchase a machine or implement located on the BigIron display booth at the show site, you can pick it up Sept. 1 after the show, Stock explains.
