Will you be at the Farm Progress Show, Aug. 27-29 in Decatur, Ill.? If you’re looking for a chance to rest your feet while hearing ideas for marketing this year’s crop or evaluating tech investments, check out the ADM Stage in the Hospitality Building at Sixth Street and Central Avenue. Throughout the show, you can catch a variety of speakers and topics:

“This Week in Agribusiness.” Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson will shoot segments of the next edition of “This Week in Agribusiness” on the ADM Stage, starting at 1 p.m. Aug. 27.

“The Noon Show.” Don’t miss “The Noon Show” on the ADM Stage. Get ready to laugh with hosts Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson, and get the inside scoop from their notable guests, including U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. Guest lineup varies each day.

Market updates and outlook. Farm Futures’ senior grain market analyst, Bryce Knorr, will take a look at the factors shaping the markets heading into the start of the tumultuous 2019 crop marketing year. He’ll highlight global fundamentals of supply and demand, and forces far beyond the field coming from volatile financial markets.

Catch Knorr’s session from 10 to 11:15 a.m. each day, titled “Making a Profit From the Markets in the Year Ahead.” The mini-seminar will include a grain market update, and strategies for futures, cash sales and the government farm program, with a first look at what farmers are planning for 2020 and how input costs are shaping up.

Easton Corbin. Easton Corbin, a country music singer with many Billboard Top 10 hits, will perform live on the ADM Stage in the Hospitality Building from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Aug. 28. Corbin will debut his song “The Only Life I Know,” inspired by and created for the film “Silo.” You can view a promotional trailer of “Silo” at Lot 2174.

Peterson Farm Brothers. Known for parody hits such as “I’m Farming and I Grow It” and their agricultural advocacy, the Peterson Farm Brothers will be live in concert in the Hospitality Building at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 28. Afterward, stop by Great Plains Manufacturing at Lot 841 for a meet-and-greet with the brothers.

Ag tech investment panel discussion. With tight budgets, every dollar spent must be justified with a positive return. Hear a panel discussion from 2 to 3 p.m. Aug. 28 to learn how using the right ag tech can help prioritize and predict where you should invest. It’s sponsored by WinField United.
