Visitors to the new Boone, Iowa site for the 2008 Farm Progress Show can get a head start on seeing all the new technology that will be on hand. They can order their tickets online and print them at home. Once at the show, they can go through special gates that allow for quick entrance. The pass gates are located at the north and south ends of 6th Street.

The system is similar to what other major events are now using that allows buyers to order tickets. The online tickets are printed at home and include an individually developed bar code that is read at the pass gate. A single bar code can only be read once - so photocopying the ticket to try to get added entrance for the same price is not possible.

Once a ticket is scanned that barcode is no longer good for entrance.

Online buyers can get tickets for up to 30% off using either their Farm Progress magazine subscriber number (located in the address area on the cover of your magazine) or by providing some basic information about their operation online. If you just want to order online and use the faster-entrance gates, you can do that for $10.

Check out the new online ordering system by visiting www.farmprogressshow.com/discount. The site allows you to order and does show where the special pass gates are located.
