ON THE ROAD: Golf carts must remain in the street without obstructing access to exhibit space.

Only golf carts and motorized scooters are allowed on the exhibit field at the Farm Progress Show. No vehicles that will idle unattended — lawn mowers, Gators, ATVs or other utility vehicles — will be permitted.

Here’s a rundown of other rules:

Golf cart vendor. Visitors can rent a golf cart from the Farm Progress Show approved vendor. The rental fee includes the permit required to enter the grounds.

Personal golf cart. Visitors who bring personal golf carts must purchase an $80 permit from the golf cart vendor located next to the west and southwest entrances.

5-mph max. Golf carts may not exceed a speed of 5 miles per hour.

Key stays with driver. Operators must remove the key from the vehicle when it is vacated.

No entry into exhibits. Golf carts may not be used to enter an exhibit. They must remain in the street without obstructing access to the exhibit space. Operators who drive into exhibits and tents will lose their permit, and the golf cart will be removed.

Seating limits. A golf cart may not transport more individuals than it has seats for.

Attachment-free. No pull-behind attachments to golf carts are permitted.

Minimum age. Golf cart operators must be 25 years old.

Safety first. Operators must use the vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.

Management’s discretion. In those situations where questions arise relative to any aspect of these rules and regulations, Farm Progress Show management will be responsible for all final decisions.

This year’s Farm Progress Show is Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 in Decatur, Ill. Learn more at FarmProgressShow.com.
