Farmers helped give Donald Trump the keys to the White House.  While polls show the president’s popularity slipping among all voters,  growers give him passing marks after his first six months in office.

Most farmers voted for Trump. Our Farm Futures survey a year ago showed only 10% backing Democrat Hillary Clinton.  In January, 76% of those surveyed believed Trump would be good for their business. That percentage slipped a little, to 70%, in our second survey of the year in March.

Our latest survey of nearly 1,200 growers July 17-Aug. 2 showed most still backing the president, with around half giving him an “A” or “B” so far. Still, health care and the Farm Bill are key concerns moving forward.

These are results of the latest survey on the president and policy issues.
