1. Deere & Co. is suing Agco over the Precision Planting technology that Agco acquired after the Department of Justice blocked John Deere from acquiring Precision Planting. – Farm Futures 

2. A tractorcade was part of a biofuel rally in Sioux Falls, S.D. Farmers and biofuel supports drove about a dozen tractors through the city to protest the Trump administration’s handling of ethanol policy. – Dakota Farmer

3. The House is expected to pass its version of the farm bill sometime this month. The bill failed May 18 when it became embroiled in an immigration debate. – Roll Call

4. It’s busy another busy week for the Trump administration. President Trump threatened tariffs on another $200 billion in Chinese imports, days after imposing tariffs on $50 billion in Chinese imports. The Trump administration blamed China for hijacking intellectual property on the same day that the EU announced retaliatory tariffs. – Farm Futures

5. Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, plans to formally close its dairy operation by summer 2019, ending a 111-year history of milking cows. Andrews University is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning. The university’s farm began operation in 1901 and its dairy started in 1907. – Michigan Farmer

6. Automated farming is here. It should boost yields, lower the cost of producing food and reduce the need for fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides. It will also threaten jobs. – Bloomberg

7. Harvest reports have been all over the board in Kansas, with wheat yields ranging from the low teens to as high as 55 bushels per acre. – Kansas Farmer
