U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will visit Idaho next week, touring a U.S. Forest Service tree nursery in Boise on July 25 and serving as keynote speaker at the Western Governors Association annual conference on July 26.

At the tree nursery, he will discuss spending on reforestation and wildfire prevention authorized in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law signed by President Joe Biden.

At the governors' meeting in Coeur d'Alene, he will speak about challenges facing western communities and how state and federal governments can partner to address these challenges, according to a release.

Before his speech, he and governors will conduct a news conference focusing on increasing communities' resiliency against wildfires.
