A variety of farm leaders will participate in RFD-TV's Rural Tractor Brigade, which will be in Friday's inaugural parade.

Among those participating will be American Soybean Association (ASA) President and Illinois farmer Ron Moore and his wife, Deb; Randy Krotz, CEO of U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance; John Weber, president, National Pork Producers Council; Zippy Duvall, president of the American Farm Bureau Federation, and Jim Odle, co-founder of Superior Livestock Auction. Representatives of the rural media driving in the parade include: National Association of Farm Broadcasting past and current presidents Mark Oppold and Max Armstrong, Duncan Smith of Sinclair Broadcasting, and Patrick Gottsch, founder & president of RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO on SiriusXM. Others in the parade will representative National Future Farmers of America.

“Participating in the parade and celebrating the inauguration is not only an honor, but a great way to emphasize the importance and presence of rural America,” said Moore, who will also be on hand for President-elect Trump’s swearing-in on Friday, as well as the inaugural ball honoring American agriculture later that evening. “ASA congratulates President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Pence, and we look forward to working closely with both. Over the next hundred days, we’re going to look to make those connections and start those conversations that will lead to a better and deeper understanding of the issues that affect farmers throughout the country.”

The Rural Tractor Brigade is part of RFD-TV’s “continuing effort to reconnect city with country,” and will feature equipment from Case IH, Challenger, John Deere, Kioti, Kubota, Mahindra, Massey-Ferguson and New Holland.

This year’s parade is themed “We the People: Our American Journey” and will be broadcast live on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC beginning at 3 p.m. ET on Friday. RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO will carry live updates beginning at 9 a.m. ET Friday and continue through the course of the day, with complete highlights on the Rural Evening News at 11:30 p.m. ET.
