You met Honorary Master Farmers named through 2009 if you read Hoosier Perspectives last week. Now it’s time to see who has been named an Honorary Master Farmer since then.

First, here’s how you can help decide who the Master Farmers and Honorary Master Farmer will be in 2017. Check out the Master Farmer link here on the website. Nomination forms are posted there. Couples can be nominated together. Nominations must come from the public, not from Indiana Prairie Farmer staff. Completed nomination forms with six letters of support for the nomination are due postmarked by Feb. 15.

You don’t need to fill out a nomination form to ask for someone to be considered as an Honorary Master Farmer. Simply send your letter of support to: Indiana Prairie Farmer, P.O. Box 247, Franklin, IN 46131; email [email protected], or call 317-431-8766 for details. The Master Farmer awards program is sponsored by Indiana Prairie Farmer and the Purdue University College of Agriculture.

Check out the gallery to meet the Honorary Master Farmers honored beginning in 2010. No honorary award was presented in 2012.
