Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong continue their market conversation with Bryce Knorr, senior market analyst, Farm Futures, who discusses how he produces the proprietary surveys he conducts throughout the year. In Colby Agtech, Chad Colby shares some insights on new equipment from the 2019 Farm Progress Show including how the North American market differs from other parts of the world. Orion and Max talk with Farm Broadcaster Susan Littlefield, KRVN Radio, Lexington, Neb., who talks about the Nebraska State Fair that just wrapped up.

Part 3

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong open this segment with more from the Half Century of Progress where Max spent quality time looking at nearly 3,000 pieces of equipment. And there is a look at a special display where Shane Kerkhove, West Lafayette, Ind., was printing custom medals for that vintage equipment show.

Part 4

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong open this segment with a report from Steve Bridge who looks at the challenge of “what’s below” before you dig. Remembering the number “811” is important especially if you’re digging deeper than normal farming. Richard Fordyce, administrator of the USDA Farm Service Agency, talks about the Market Facilitation Program and the payment process to help farmers weather the challenges of the global trade situation. Ag Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the week ahead.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max shares the story of a Minneapolis Moline Experimental tractor owned by Roy Book, Morrison, Ill. And it’s a tractor that Book isn’t really supposed to have the tractor, and Max explains. Orion Samuelson profiles Tremont FFA in Tremont, Ill. This is an active chapter with a range of programs including a Turkey Festival. Member Brey Anne Nickels shares some benefits she gets from her involvement in the program. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson offers his Congressional Scorecard Update to see what lawmakers were doing legislatively.

Part 7

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong wrap up this week’s episode with a preview of Husker Harvest Days with a look at the updated site dedicated in 2018. Max notes that the upgrades not only helped exhibitors but there is also good news for visitors.
