Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson open this week’s show with a report from Patrick Haggerty who talks with Collin Peterson, D-Minn., chair of the House Ag Committee, who discusses ag disaster aid, market conditions and the impact of the African Swine Fever on markets. Max and Orion talk markets with Clayton Pope, Clayton Pope Commodities, including a look at the impact of recent USDA reports.

Orion Samuelson profiles Somonauk/Leland/Sandwich FFA in Somonauk, Ill., is 150 members strong and provides some essential community services in the region. Chapter President Avery Plote shares many of the reasons for being part of FFA from hands-on to leadership skills. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson takes on false labeling in the food industry from “milk” to “false meat.”

Part 7

Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson talk about the interest in industrial hemp, including a look at a Twitter survey Max conducted online with some interesting results. And they share a report from Lynn Ketelsen who shares news of research on a soybean product that may help preserve asphalt roads.
