The Minnesota FFA Foundation is once again offering its Blue Jackets Bright Futures program that provides FFA jackets to Minnesota youth who are starting their FFA career.
This is the 10th year the Minnesota FFA Foundation has offered the program.
“Nearly 40% of all agricultural education students are from economically challenged homes, making the role of the Minnesota FFA Foundation in supporting these students all the more important,” says Lavyne Rada, Minnesota FFA Association leadership development coordinator. “A personalized FFA jacket provides recipients with a sense of pride while giving them ownership of their FFA experiences.”
Many past FFA members have sponsored jackets, as well as other individuals and companies, because they appreciate what the organization does to develop young leaders, adds Val Aarsvold, Minnesota FFA Foundation executive director.
Last year, nearly 450 members applied for a jacket.
“The foundation is busy working to secure the necessary sponsors to meet this year’s need,” Aarsvold says.
For more information on the program, contact Aarsvold at 507-534-0188 or visit the foundation's website.
