To help celebrate Ohio Farm Bureau’s centennial year, The Shelly Co. — an Ohio limestone, sand and gravel, ready-mix concrete and asphalt paving company — recently unveiled its newest “rolling billboard” featuring Ohio Farm Bureau. Because it’s on a cement mixer, the billboard rolls two ways.

The themed truck program is part of The Shelly Co.’s community support effort that promotes nonprofit organizations. Each year, 28 themed trucks participate in more than a dozen community events throughout Ohio, such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Chili Cook-off and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K event; Cleveland Metroparks’ Touch-a-Truck event; Warren High School FFA; and Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter golf outing.

The truck featuring Ohio Farm Bureau will be based in Belpre, Ohio, but will travel statewide.

“Helping to celebrate Ohio Farm Bureau’s centennial is one way we’re able to give back to the farming community,” says Rick Kemper, general manager of Smith Concrete, a unit of The Shelly Co. “We’re thankful to work with local farmers frequently and look forward to continuing those relationships.”

Ohio Farm Bureau’s mission is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities. Learn more at ofbf.org.
