Entries in the South Dakota Farmers Union’s 2020 photo contest captured a slice of life on family farms and ranches.

“We thought a photo contest would provide an uplifting activity,” says Karla Hofhenke, SDFU executive director.

The contest was also a way keep SDFU members connected to each other despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These photos helped remind all of us that, although social distancing is isolating, we are not alone.” Hofhenke says.
