With kind of conditions expected across our region again today, officials say you should think twice about burning. In fact, some NWS offices are warning against burning outdoors at all. Smokers are being urged to be careful about tossing their butts.

In Nebraska, farmers are looking at grazing downed corn. Cattle may have to have access restricted at first if not used to corn diet.

It’s been remarkable how many farmers have said something to me about bald eagles around their farms. In 1960s and 1970s, bald eagles were almost extinct. In Wisconsin, there were 1,600 occupied nests in recent count. 6% more bald eagle nests than year ago and most since survey began in 1973.
