From this week in agribusiness, some analysts think USDA could raise yield numbers when September report comes out next week. Average yield of 168 bushels is projected by analysts. Some think could push to 171 bushels per acre. Average soybean yield is 48.7 bushels, off by 1 from USDA. At least one analyst thought soybean yield could be raised.

At visit with former USDA official yesterday, he said USDA August numbers usually aren’t that far off mark from final numbers.
