Max Armstrong talks about college football. (audio)

It was a good reminder last night of why so many of us love college football. The Georgia Tech quarterback had carried the ball 44 times and the Tennessee Volunteers figured he’d do it again. The Volunteers guessed right, forcing the QB to throw an incomplete pass. The Volunteers came out on top 42-41.

Lots of union workers and politicians were out for yesterday’s Labor Day parades. Union advocates celebrating the nation’s 124th annual Labor Day holiday want better wages, benefits and working conditions. They’ve had enough of stagnant wages and people trying to silence them in the workplace. 

Trump is threatening to withdraw from trade agreement with South Korea. Ag groups are not happy. It’s the third largest corn importer.

Tipton, Iowa, is back to normal this week after anhydrous ammonia leak at local cooperative last week.

There is still haze across parts of our region in the heartland. Some of you may have noticed the haze in the air. It’s from fires out west that have burned area larger than Rhode Island.
