Our nation's opioid crisis will be first priority of man Trump picked to run FDA. Says opioid crisis is as serious as ebola and Zika virus and will require dramatic action.

The latest drought monitor is out this morning. Will be interesting to see how drought has diminished. Was that dryness back in winter that fooled grain trade. Traders through more corn. Instead Prospective Plantings report showed corn acreage down 4% and soybean acreage up 7%.

From Topeka, Kansas, news of closing Payless Shoe Stores. As recently as four years ago, Payless bought stores in Austraiia. Closing 378 stores, less than 1% of stores in U.S. Heritage of stores goes back to 1956 to Polish immigrants.
