MORNING Midwest Digest, October 3, 2018

Max Armstrong talks about more rain in Iowa, economic sentiment from farmers, rural hospital struggles and an emergency test for cell phones.

People in Iowa may be getting more pressure from the rain, as there is more in the forecast. Four to 5 inches of rain could fall from now until next week.

The ag economy barometer dropped from last month, which wasn't surprising given the trade issues. However, almost half of the farmers didn't see their farm financial situation worse than a year ago.

Rural hospitals continue to struggle across the Midwest.

At 1:18 p.m. Central time, there will be a test for wireless emergency alerts.
