Max Armstrong's Daily Updates

MORNING Midwest Digest, October 25, 2018

Max Armstrong talks about the federal opioid bill, African swine fever, a Tennessee doctor's loan and FFA members watching Garth Brooks.

The president signed the federal opioid bill; there were 70,000 drug overdoes deaths last year, and more than two-thirds of those were from opioids.

Animal health officials are on the watch for African swine fever. There's currently no vaccine or treatment available for hogs.

A Tennessee doctor retired her medical license after borrowing $300,000 from a patient. Then diagnosed the woman with dementia so she wouldn't have to repay the loan.

FFA members lit up social media while watching Garth Brooks at their annual convention.
