We hear of cold weather tragedies every winter. As temperatures drop, fires can increase. Winter storms disrupt power supply and people turn to alternative power sources. Space heaters account for one-third of fires and cause 80% of deaths.

The EPA administrator says they might expand ethanol mandate. Could rise about 15 billion gallons in RFS.

Thoughts and prayers – I’ve often pondered how sincere the writer is. I’m not alone. It’s become the catch-all phrase, the easy way out, a columnist says. If you really have a thought, send it to them or offer them the words of a Bible verse. I write a few handwritten notes a week.
