Max Armstrong talks about damages from Hurricane Irma. (audio)

They’re saying losses Hurricane Irma caused billions worth of damage in Florida, with a big chunk of those from agriculture, the second largest industry in state. The state’s citrus growers are dealing with citrus greening and Irma’s destruction to groves will cause citrus industry to remain shadow of its former self.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue has been in his home state of Georgia to see the damage firsthand and is heading to Florida and Texas.

Matthew Boylen grew up playing baseball, showing hogs. He was 22 when killed in car crash. His heart transplanted into Lucy Boenitz, 50. The families met this weekend.
