I like that protest staged by boys at central Minnesota high school. They flew Ol Glory from their pickups. They didn’t block roads, they didn’t burn buildings and they made it hard for administrators not to change their stance on banning flags flying from vehicles.

Those two storms, Harvey and Irma, may change market. The beef cow herd in southern and eastern Texas was hard hit by Hurricane Harvey. This could impact calf market. This is momma cows. In Florida, Hurricane Irma could impact beef cow herd too.

Midwest-based insurance companies will bear the brunt of car insurance losses from Hurricane Harvey. 500,000 personal vehicles damaged or destroyed by Harvey.

Increasingly, rural residents and men are saying a college degree isn’t worth it. Colleges have stepped up their marketing.
