March 17, 2017

National Agriculture Week is just ahead and this year it will feature confirmation hearing for Trump's nominee for Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue. Conaway, Stabenow will speak and then Perdue. His confirmation is expected to be swift.

Trump wants states to handle more regulation. Trump lay off one of every five EPA employees and reduce budget by 31%. Dramatically reducing spending would allow agency to focus on its highest priorities.

Max shared agriculture facts: In 1850, 83 labor hours required to produce 100 bushels of corn and 2 acres. Today 6/10th of acre and two labor hours.
