Our flu season will be going on for several weeks now, but it appears to be easing in the Midwest.

Those black vultures that have been problem in southern Missouri and Arkansas appear to be problem in southern Illinois now. The birds have been very brazen, sometimes attacking lose to barns. Farmers may be losing more calves to vultures than they realize.

Former Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey gets sworn into his new Washington job tomorrow night. It will be at Iowa Ag Leaders Conference.

The governor of Indiana went on a beer run yesterday, drawing attention to fact that Indiana residents can now purchase and carryout alcohol on Sundays.
