We’ve seen this many times before. The big winter storms do often have an impact on the economy. Housing starts may immediately be softer. We often see less dining out. One analyst believes restaurant traffic was down 10% in northeast. Hat and glove sales were up, though.

It’s hard to find anyone bullish about soybean prices. One ray of hope is weather forecast shows below normal rainfall for southern Brazil and Argentina with highs in 90s to lower 100s.
