MIDDAY Midwest Digest, June 14, 2018

Max Armstrong talks about hot cars, interest rates and unemployment and crime punishment, along with Father's Day stats.

Every summer we hear stories of children, and even adults or pets, being left in hot cars. Be aware of that this weekend.

Farmers need to brace for higher interest rates. The Federal Reserve raised interest rates, and expects to do so again. The Fed also believes the unemployment rate will continue to slide.

This week in Michigan, a man was sentenced to prison for driving into a crowd of bicyclists, killing 5 of them, two years ago. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Father's Day weekend is coming up. There are 2 million single fathers in the U.S.
