Brookstone has filed bankruptcy for a second time, planning to close all of its remaining mall stores. Declining foot traffic, along with management blunders, took it down.

State fair action is picking up in August. The Iowa State Fair butter sculpter will tackle a Waterloo Boy replica for the fair, which opens in less than a week. 

There are also new foods to eat at the state fairs this week.
