Two Minnesota FFA students were recognized at the state FFA convention April 26 for their communication achievements.

Receiving the 2022 first-place agricultural communications proficiency award was Morgan Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye. Runner-up was Samantha Moser of Hills.

Hoffmann, a high school senior who is active with Sleepy Eye FFA, received the honor for her work in providing social media coverage of her chapter events. She plans to attend Ridgewater College in Willmar next year to study marketing and sales, and also take an online program through Mankato (Minn.) State University in nonprofit leadership. Her long-term goal is to have her own nonprofit business that would help foster kids.

Moser, a high school senior who is active with the Hills-Beaver Creek FFA, received her recognition for creating her own business designing agricultural books for youth. She plans to attend South Dakota State University and work on degrees in animal science and ag communications.
