Farm Progress America, September 19, 2017

Max Armstrong talks truck rules and livestock transport.

Max Armstrong looks at new rules from the Department of Transportation that will track trucks and driver hours with electronic logs. The idea of tracking truck hours is a safety issue; but in the case of livestock transport, the animals in the back are also an issue too. Livestock groups want an exemption to the new rules for these haulers.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
