Max Armstrong takes on the plant-based meat alternatives including a look at a Harvard Department of Environmental Health study showing these meat substitutes may have nutrition issues. The study found that while the new “meats” are lower in total fat and saturated fat, they’re higher in sodium. The authors also noted its necessary to consider how these products are consumed – a fast food setting.
