Max Armstrong looks at some of the barriers to hemp being grown in the United States

August 2, 2019

Max Armstrong shares more insight from Kentucky Farmer Brian Furnish on the hemp market. Furnish testified to the Senate Ag Committee noting there are still barriers to the crop. The crop has no legal fungicide or herbicide to protect a hemp field; today they rely on manual labor. There is also no crop insurance either.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
