Allen Merrill, a dairy farmer from Parker, S.D., is the new chairman of the Midwest Dairy Association. He was elected during the organization’s recent annual meeting held in Phoenix.

New members of the corporate board officer team are Charles Krause, Buffalo, first vice chairman, and Lowell Mueller, Hooper, Neb., secretary. Bill Siebenborn, Trenton, Mo., was re-elected second vice chairman, while Dan Grunhovd, Gary, was re-elected treasurer.

New members elected by their divisions to the Midwest Dairy corporate board include two Minnesota dairy farmers, Corrine Lieser of Belgrade and Kristine Spadgenske of Menahga.

Division board officers and new members include:

• Iowa Division. Dan Hotvedt, Mabel, chairman
• Minnesota Division. Barb Liebenstein, Dundas, chairman; Charles Krause, Buffalo, vice chairman; Suzanne Vold, Glenwood, secretary; and Tom Walsh, Murdock, treasurer.

The Minnesota Dairy Promotion Council, a quasi-governmental group with the same board members, elected the following: Kathleen Skiba, North Branch, chairman; Keith Knutson, Pine Island, vice chairman; Debi Clasemann, Long Prairie, secretary; Christine Sukalski, LeRoy, treasurer; and Peter Ripka, Ogilvie, executive member at large.

Doug Popp, Royalton, and Margaret Johnson, Fountain, were seated as new members of both the Minnesota Division board and the Minnesota Dairy Promotion Council.

The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association and Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council announce the following slates of officers for 2017-18:
