1 Corinthians 3:6: I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

1 Corinthians 3:7: So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

1 Corinthians 3:8: The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.

1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

Holy scripture has numerous examples in nature of how our creator relates to us, as well as how we should conduct ourselves in our brief time on Earth.

The Bible instructs us that we must be born into the family of God through placing our faith in the finished work that Jesus accomplished on the cross.

As his child, we are to learn what it means to know him, and how to make him known to the world around us. (John 3:3,7, 14-15).

Think of the traditional farm family with multiple children. As soon as they start walking, they learn to contribute to the operation of the farm by participating in the work. God’s kingdom is an operation, too.

Verses written in a letter to the believers in Corinth by the Apostle Paul instructs us how he is “working in the earth.” God assigns tasks to his children to do alongside him as a loving, caring father.

The gospel of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible are referred to as seeds to be planted. We, his children, plant it into human minds and hearts, or water what has been planted by sharing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Giving away a free walking stick is an effective way of starting a conversation with a person to introduce the truths written in the Bible that everyone needs to know. The colored beads attached to the stick stand for the only plan of salvation that God has provided for all people. Part of God’s plan is to use people, their mouths and hands, to tell others this good news.

In our experience thus far, we have met many who are in the family of God and know it, and others who need assurance that they are by faith. Others are challenged to consider and accept the sure promise of their creator to them. We all fit into one of these three categories.

Which one are you?
