The 4-H contest was a great way to grow youth independence and confidence.

Eight Alabama 4-H members shined in the recent 4-H Virtual Talent Contest. Youth showcased their skills via video submissions ranging from vocals to dance.

“We are so proud of all of our 4-H members who participated,” said Molly Gregg, assistant director of Alabama 4-H. “It was special to see all of the unique and creative talents shared by our young people.”

Gregg also said the 4-H contest was a great way to grow youth independence and confidence.

The following 4-H members won in the designated talent contest categories:

  • Benjamin Adams, Lauderdale County–Senior Dance

  • Mattie Wisener, Marshall County–Junior Dance

  • Sarah Wilcoxson, Lauderdale County–Senior Vocals

  • Grey Stephens, Etowah County–Junior Vocals

  • Angelica Vercher, Shelby County–Senior Instrumental

  • Isabella Beaty, Houston County–Junior Instrumental

  • Abigail Taylor, Henry County–Senior Miscellaneous

  • Gavin Ward, Houston County–Junior Miscellaneous

All acts were solo because of current coronavirus safety recommendations. The winning video submissions will be shared on the Alabama 4-H Facebook page in the upcoming weeks.
